PhD Student

Charlotte Hunkeler is carrying out research towards a PhD at the University of Basel. Her thesis is on inner coffins dating from the 22nd Dynasty to the 25th Dynasty. She is a member of the University Basel’s King’s Valley Project, working on 22nd Dynasty cartonnages. Additionally, she is working on the University of Basel’s Life Histories of Theban Tombs Project, studying coffins from the New Kingdom to the Late Period, and also New Kingdom mummy masks and funearary chests.
